Oregon's Llama Treks

E-mail Print PDF

Llama Treks
in Oregon's Eagle Cap Wilderness

Children eagerly lead their new found “wooly” friends along wildflower covered meadows, across sparkling mountain streams and among the towering peaks of Oregon’s Eagle Cap Wilderness. Hurricane Creek Llama Treks provide hikers of all ages a variety of treks.  The docile and curious llamas not only pack all the supplies, they’re environmentally as well as kid friendly. The guides will teach you how to interact and care for the llamas and also provide information about the wilderness area.  Family treks are leisurely, with plenty of time to view herds of elk, spot bighorn sheep, marvel at golden eagles and fish the lakes for trout. Recommended for children 6 and older, for everyone walks--hikes can be 5 miles or more a day depending on your itinerary.  Cost:  five days, with gourmet meals and two night B&B lodging $660 per adult, $530 for accompanied child, 6-18 yrs.
